The Bachmann family

The Bachmann family is from the Antolzertal- Anterselva Valley in South Tyrol. Josef and Konrad grew up on the Kumpflhof, a mountain farm at 1400m over see level. Since their childhood they where in contact with the material wood and found through their love and passion for wood and the nature their calling and profession.

Josef and Konrad are real nature lovers; both passionate hunters and photographers. During their walks through woods, to alpine pastures and peaks they’re always on the search for special roots and Swiss stone pinewood. Unique and individual items such as a Christ, a root- crib or an abstract root- sculptor are the results of their creativity and imagination. Since their childhood years Johannes and Elias looked over their fathers shoulder and loved to create small “art pieces” themselves. Nowadays both work in their fathers wood art studio and are determined to improve their skills and techniques. Every year Johannes and Elias are present at various Christmas markets all around Germany. Respecting the old traditions and always on the search for new ideas the Bachmann family works together to create wooden art pieces of a high standard. Woodcarvings Bachmann’s utmost concern is their costumer’s satisfaction. They guarantee you high quality standards, artistic handwork and great costumer consultation.
