Form the roots to the counter

This Swiss stone pine probably lay for over 50 years dead in the woods before becoming the counter in the Holzladen.

Josef Bachmann calculates the age of this tree over 700 years. He passed it many many times when he was on the chamois hunt at the Amperspitz in the beautiful Antholzertal Valley. As soon as his idea to open a shop in Bruneck got specific he decided to carpenter a counter out of this trunk. There where five men and a tractor necessary to remove the trunk form the woods into the valley.
