Elisabeth of Thuringia is a saint of the Catholic Church. She was a Hungarian princess and German landgravine. In Germany, she was at times considered a "national saint". Her feast day is November 17 in the Catholic Church.
St. Elizabeth is usually depicted with a jug and a loaf of bread in her hand. This depiction comes from the fact that she helped many poor people during her time as Landgravine of Thuringia.

For example, she gave away her jewelry and personally cared for leper children. She also helped at the funerals by washing the deceased. Often it is also depicted with a beggar.
In this depiction, Elizabeth holds the jug in one hand and two loaves of bread and roses in the other. Her gaze is directed downwards, as if she were looking at the people below her and wanting to help them.
She has very fine facial features. The painting makes the individual details even more visible.
You can choose between three different finishes: natural, three-tone stained and painted. The wooden figure is painted by hand by our painters and you can see how much attention to detail they work with. Oil paints are used.

St. Elizabeth with roses is made in a South Tyrolean wood carving. For the wooden figure in sizes from 15 cm to 40 cm, sycamore is used. For the wooden figure in sizes 50 cm to 90 cm, lime wood is used.
