This Madonna made of wood comes from South Tyrol. Konrad Bachmann designed the depiction of this Madonna. She is depicted in a more modern and simpler way than a traditional Madonna. The dress falls simply downwards, only the mantle shows a simple drapery. In this depiction, Mary is not wearing a headscarf and her beautiful straight hair can be seen.
Mary holds the Child Jesus securely in her arms. Jesus nestles securely on her shoulder and holds on to Mary with one hand. He wears an apron which reaches down to his feet. His face is very lovingly designed and radiates calmness and security. Mary's facial features are also very loving and soft.
This woodcarved figure is made of sycamore maple. Only in the sizes 39 cm and 58 cm the figure is hand-carved in lime wood. You can choose between five different sizes and three different finishes.
