Kaspar, Melchior and Balthasar, also called the three wise men from the Orient, are guided by the comet star to pay homage to the Saviour. They come with their accompanying figures and symbolise the three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as the three ages. They bring gold, frankincense and myrrh as gifts to the Christ Child. The three kings are an integral part of the Alpine nativity scene tradition. In the Christian calendar, the event is called Epiphany, which is celebrated on 6 January.

These figures of the Gloria Nativity are carved from wood. Domestic ash or cherry is used for the production. The glazed and stained version is lovingly set by local artists.
